When you copy a trade, you do not get the same price the original trader got. There is always a gap — the time it takes to detect their position and open yours.
On a slow-moving position that gap is meaningless. On a fast scalp it can eat the entire edge. This is the single biggest reason copy trading results differ from the trader you copied.
Reducing it is most of the engineering work.
